You don’t have this same issue? I am still seeing it. Today I was using Kopete with Yahoo happily for, oh, say, four hours, when all of a sudden the same issue cropped up. I could send a message but the recipient did not receive it. I could receive every message the person sent to me.

Until I can get all of my Yahoo buddies to move to something else, Kopete still isn’t going to be able to be my mine instant messenger.

Do not use yahoo assistants and other junk 3721 fix this problem, your system will become slow, it will use the simplest function outlay too much of your resources, there are many side effects.

Oh the issue has been revolved in the latest set of updates. You don't really need to apply this dirty fix anymore (which is really not ideal since it mix libs which really not ideal)

I just tried your patch. I had no trouble following your steps & even had the same output. However, when starting Kopete, I was faced with a missing yahoo plugin error. I'm using Lucid Lynx & Kopete from the Synaptic package manager.
