Hmm i wouldnt know since i don’t play games much (understatement, i dont play at all). It could be though, you might also want to disable compiz since since most games don’t run well when compiz is enabled.

Am not sure wordpress.com supports captcha, i tried enabling it but didnt see any field that shows it was supported. maybe if i hosted my own instance of wordpress it would be different. thanks for the suggestion anyway

Hey Bobbie, i think only the 956 and above chipsets support more than 2048×2048.

On such hardware, the only way to have dual monitors with compiz is to use two “1024×768″ monitors

Hi, I’ve seen you posted that the Dell XPS M1330 Card Reader works on Ubuntu Jaunty out of the box. I’ve tried a Memory Stick PRO Duo (from my PSP) with a Memory Stick Duo Adaptor, but simply nothing happen.
So, which memory sticks did you test? And if you got work a Memory Stick PRO Duo, how did you get it work?
I have an XPSM1330 with Ubuntu Jaunty (not Dell image) fully updated.

Hey, I’ve got Ubuntu904 on my Dell Inspiron 6400. I ran across this post because of the 945GM virtual 2048 limitation and I was hoping that it might fix my problem. I tried the updated drivers from cavedon and I just wanted to confirm that as of 2009-06-01, the new mesa etc. drivers do not work with 945GM, even with MigrationHeuristic greedy. I still get a 2720×900 desktop on dual display but DRI is still disabled. Actually, it broke my xvideo and now I have to start VLC with ‘vlc -vo x11 %f’. I hope someone else finds my guinea pig efforts insightful.
