So, I ran into the TFTP error while installing fog on another machine, and the link you had for the fix is right, it just doesn't include that you have to go to 'FOG Settings' from the 'Other Information' page to change the password there as well. Good to hear you got it working.

Cheers :)

Hello,

just to address your ftp error: I read something on a forum about that issue, which I ran into also, and it told me to make sure you have vsftp installed. I am running Ubuntu 9.04 and it's working well so far.

Check that your FTP service is running under System->Admin->Services.

Also, you should change the TFTP password in Terminal by typing: sudo passwd fog

Another thing that we encountered is that while installing the FOG Server, you should have an active internet connection during installation, then set your server settings (ip, gateway, dns, etc).

Finally, I read that you have to extract the FOG service from the opt directory, changing the file permissions to 777 before being able to do so. Just go to Terminal and type: chmod 777 opt to change the permissions.

I know this is probably ignorant advice on my part, since I am new to Linux, but thought I would try to help. So far we are having a jolly ol' time trying to get it up and functioning at a sustainable level for the amount of systems we clone. Crossing fingers.
