Great review!
I've been using arch on my laptop for a year now.
Years I've been looking for a replacement for slackware since not until recently there was no official 64bit version of slackware.
However, Arch works great for me, but there is just a little thing that i want to change.
When I set up servers I like just to compile the support for what I'm going to use, and you can, by working with abs and modifying the scripts, but this way my modifications will dissapear on a system upgrade, I'd like support for something like Gentoos $USE variable, since I compile my updates using yaourt -Sub.
But thats not so important on a desktop/laptop system.
What I really love is that everything is where it's suposed to be which makes it very easy to set up and modify.

Hello,

IMHO, command

pacman -Rd gnome

removes a package without a dependency check.

To remove package and all its dependecies, one should do
pacman -Rs gnome

As it is written in man pacman

FreeBSD users give a little love to ArchLinux. It's one that most resembles FreeBSD. I even thought the screenshot, above, was the sysinstall screen for a moment.

I was a bit of a distro hopper as well, and even when I'd stick with one for a while I'd reinstall very regularly.

Since I found arch I've yet to reinstall and its been running great. Arch ftw!
